Hope Nokia puts this in the next Nxx0 tablet...

Err, the chip in the N800 has a 3D accelerator already. I don't see anything that the TI OMAP in the N800 can't do that this chip does. Nokia would just under utilize this Samsung chip, same as they do for the OMAP now.
Other than maybe having a lower nanometer size, I don't know why anyone is particularly excited about this chip.

I didn't realize the N8x0 had 3D accel. Thanks for the heads up!
So I guess the only benefit would be higher clock speed and lower nm size.

out best hope is the new nvidia chip that is likely to be built into android handsets which needs acceleration to perform well.

I don't think Nokia knows either... No OpenGL/OpenGL ES drivers for it.

Noone knows and Nokia aren't saying how it is that they chose a graphics chip which has acceleration and yet their driver cannot make proper use of it! As far as I know, the only thing they use is image scaling allowing playback of video at arbitrary rez; the 770 was more basic and could only double the pixels. However, the 800/810 has a faster processor than the 770, not just clock speed but also CPU architecture I think.
BTW2, the 800 and 810 have a flaw in their design and cannot use the full cpu to video bandwidth that's theoretically possible with either device.
This is why FMV video for the 800 is not possible even though in theory it could very nearly have been.
Please someone enlighten me or correct me if wrong.
