Title: Kde Pim And Cacko
Post by: chooterbloom on March 06, 2008, 01:32:04 pm
Hello all

I've got a Z with a Cacko ROM and openssh installed.
I'm trying to install KDE PIM packages from a CF card but the Z's not having it.
Am I trying the impossible in that Cacko doesn't support KDE?

Regards
Andy

You need the kdepimpi ipks from Sourceforge. Go to Sourceforge and search for kdepimpi. Zautrix and Ulf 'forked' kdepim to work on the zaurus platform. There fork has versions that run on Windows, linux desktops and from a usb stick or SD card or directory under Linux or Windows.

I am using the memorystick version on my eepc, my desktops and my laptops.

Do look at the help files and readmes. Do use the latest packages.

In fact the first item when I googled kdepimpi was the link to the Sourceforge files.

Have fun

That would be the very resource I downloaded the files from.
And, as yet, they are not playing nicely... the package files just don't install from the add/remove software window.
Can I instal from terminal and if so, how?

- This is the version I'm using on Hiroshi.  Don't recall where I got it, but the file is three years old.  It's been rock-solid reliable for me.  Hope this helps...
