Title: D-Link DCF-660W Wireless CF works with 5500 SharpROM 3.10
Post by: Spoon on March 15, 2004, 11:37:45 pm
I just bought it and it works well with my Z 5500, SharpROM 3.10. All I have to do is to plug it in, setup a wireless network service on the Z with my Linksys BEFW11S4 (v2) SSID & WEP key, and it works. No driver installation required.

However, the IP and subnet mask assigned appear random with every connection, even though I set it up to use static IP. Not sure why, and interestingly enough, the connection works. A reboot took care of that.
Now the card is working perfectly normal, with correct IP.

Just thought I\'ll post it so that people who are thinking of getting a wireless CF have another choice.

Spoon.

What kind of range are you getting with this card? Mine will only work if I\'m in the same room with the router.
