Title: Stable Om2008.8
Post by: stupkid on August 27, 2008, 09:51:22 pm
For anyone that isn't tracking the mailing list, the latest "stable" official OpenMoko firmware:

http://downloads.openmoko.org/releases/Om2008.8-update/ (http://downloads.openmoko.org/releases/Om2008.8-update/)

And the opkg repository for it (which is configured by default):

http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/Om2008.8/ (http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/Om2008.8/)

Enjoy!

As always; "stable" is relative.

Not sure about anyone else, but the mix of qtopia, enlightenment, and GTK is driving me nuts.  I understand the need (at least for now) for the mix, but they don't "seem" to play well together.

Either way, having fun!

Yeah, it's 'mostly' good for me.  There is a loooong way to go and just as several of my friends have stated, why isn't there some consolidation on embedded Linux projects?  Why not add on to Maemo or some other fully usable project?
