New on the IFA Berlin. This is insanely cheap. They really plan to ship it for $98.
Quick specs:
HiVision miniNote: MIPS based processor, WiFi, 1GB flash storage, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, SDHC card reader, audio in and out, voice-chat, skype, multi-tabbed Firefox browser. A sign on the video for a similar model shows: 400 MHz, 128/64 MB RAM, 1GB Nand Flash, 7" WVGA 800x480, 802.11 b/g.
On the down side might be that there is no support for Adobe Flash

Loose the thick bezel and I'll get one as a z replacement!
I wonder if they got the instant-on in place. hmmm ...

If they appear next month as advertised I have to buy one- it is just too cheap to pass up.

What's the status on this? My girlfriend is going nuts over it, and its inexpensive pinkness. She experienced the EEEpc when I had the first 700 run, so I think she could stand this, although I know that this is even more pared down than the EEEpc was.

I emailed the company last week about getting a hold of one- they were on holiday. Anyone with info on how to purchase this and/or the x86 variant please, please let us know!

Wow, thats really interesting. Seems like its cheap enough you can get one, and even if it sucks its no big loss.
Edit: after a bit of googling http://dashto.cc/2n (http://dashto.cc/2n) seems to show the laptop they had in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKQbN6tpYXw) is more like the bestlink alpha 400 which seems to be $200~ @ http://dashto.cc/2o (http://dashto.cc/2o) . HiVisions website http://hvsco.com/sp_leftqx.asp?id=7 (http://hvsco.com/sp_leftqx.asp?id=7) doesnt seem to offer any links to the uber cheap/nifty laptop : (
