Title: Announcement: Countdown Timer
Post by: koan on October 04, 2008, 02:50:52 am
Hi, I wrote a Countdown Timer application. I wanted to be able to time the exercises for
circuit training but you can use it for anything, timing your coffee brewing or even taking a break.

It's quite a simple app, for most people who use such a thing it probably does everything but
if there is a feature you need let me know. I did try to disable the system going to standby
while the timer is running but I couldn't find a system friendly way to do this: you'll have to
modify your system settings so your Z doesn't turn itself off while the timer is running.

Details and download  here (http://www.lyndonhill.com/Projects/countdowntimer.html).
Sharp ROM only at the moment.

Hi guys, I'm glad you like it.

Just remember that it if your Zaurus goes to standby the counter will stop and it will not wake
up to sound the alarm.

You should install the QPE alarm clock advanced version, it's very good for that type of alarm. If you follow the link I give for the alarm files, you can find it there.

That's not even close to what I need. Your program is pretty much exactly what I was looking for (big red digits on screen showing the countdown and multiple timer support.  Nice job.
