Title: Android Ported To Openmoko Devices
Post by: stupkid on November 06, 2008, 10:51:43 am
Since nobody else posted this I figured I should.  Andriod is up and running on the FreeRunner and Neo1973 Om devices:

Still some warts, but hopefully those will be ironed out soon.

What I would personally like to see is the Dalvik VM and the other runtimes  in a lean package to allow for Android apps to run on any flavor of Linux.

I tried it out on my FR.  Looks really nice, and I'm happy with the UI.

The biggest hangup right now is that the software was designed with 4 hardware buttons in mind.  What this means currently is that there is no way to accept an incoming call.

Things are looking good though.
