Title: Opensuse For Zaurus?
Post by: speculatrix on November 24, 2008, 07:33:34 am
http://lizards.opensuse.org/2008/11/18/arm...e-and-opensuse/ (http://lizards.opensuse.org/2008/11/18/arm-support-for-opensuse-buildservice-and-opensuse/)

some interesting technical comments in there even for people who aren't interested in suse; also mentions ubuntu and nokia's mojo project.

opensuse now offers LXDE
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/02/06/op...t3_milestone_1/ (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/02/06/opensuse_11point3_milestone_1/)

personally, I think it would take a lot of work to slim-down opensuse - even the "minimal" install is pretty bloated, you have to spend a lot of time removing packages when installing if you really want a slimmed-down system!
