Title: Bluetake BT100S Bluetooth CF from www.scan.co.uk
Post by: grey_moon on March 18, 2004, 05:06:59 am
I couldn\'t find much info about other people experiences with this card so I thought I would post mine...
This is with regards to a 5600 with the sharp 1.32 rom

Card sticks out a cm and a bit from the top of, so those with cases beware.  Its also quite thin, so there is a gap but it does fit snuggly.

Installation went well by following tumnus\'s bt guide, I needed the bluez and the csr_serial ipks.
Also I needed to get the product info with
cardctl ident:
and add it to the uart file in /etc/bluetooth (examples of this for the Socket card can be found on this forum)

Following the rest of the howto I got my 5600 paired with my phone a bt dial up using the applet from
http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/header.html (http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/header.html)

I couldnt get the pan applet to quite work, but following another guide which is refered to in the howto, I also got a pan between my pc and my z in no time.

The only problem is this card suffers from the suspend problem, where it hangs after u suspend it.

The susp-resume scripts didnt fix the problem, I found that I could get the card to start after a suspend by having a script to stop bluetooth and do a cardctrl eject, but it seem to loose it\'s pairing information...

Anyway I\'ve sent the card back because for another 20 pounds I\'m getting a pretec.  I really don\'t want to have to reboot my z or pull the card each time i want to bt...

Cheers
Moon
