Hello,
this is basically an English translation of this howto (http://www.linuxontour.de/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=50855#forumpost50855).
This will add a nice percentage battery monitor to your Netwalker's tray so you always know how much juice you have left. It displays in one-percent increments or "AC" if battery is full and plugged in.
Add this line to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://homepage3.nifty.com/moyashi/netwalker/ ./Then, update and install:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install battwalker.rb
Add it to the "autostarted apps" and reboot (optional, you can also run it from the terminal as usual). The command to run is battwalker.rb. Hovering over its icon also prints some additional info

Just tried installing per your instructions....
Was OK up to 'Add to autostarted apps and reboot or from Terminial....'
I opened up 'Startup Programs' and tried adding battwalker there....put 'battwalker' in the first line and 'battwalker.rb' in the second line and closed app...
Then in Terminal I did 'battwalker.rb' and I saw icon appear in taskbar....but in Terminal I didn't get the cursor back...so, after a few minutes I closed Terminal and rebooted....
Now, after reboot, I see a green icon next to Netwalker battery icon. It has 'AC' inside the green square, since I have AC adapter connected...I hover over icon and now I see additional info appear!
FYI, now I don't see Netwalker battery icon...just battwalker icon....
So, all is good, right?

All looks to be fine but I still get both icons... Just don't need the original one anymore
When running apps from Terminal, append a & sign. This will send the app into background and the cursor will reappear immediately
