Post by: speculatrix on December 21, 2009, 11:10:39 am
has anyone any photos of the device dismantled?

it'd be interesting to see if theres' scope for replacing the wifi module with an a/b/g/n, and what's soldered in and what's upgradeable!

thanks for that. I can't see the wireless being a module at all, so I guess it's soldered in?

do you know what chipset it is, so I can guess whether it supports host mode or not?

This driver (http://code.google.com/p/ks7010/) is used, so I think the chipset is a Renesas KeyStream KS7010.

I'd be interested in opening it, just to be able to replace the battery. I don't like how it's non-user-replaceable
