I have seen several threads about issues with installing gaim using the latest Sharp ROM on a 5600, but I am still having problems...when running gaim, all I get is a gaim window with all of the options dimmed. The only error messages I am getting from the console is:
\"Error reading prefs: Failed to open /home/zaurus/.gain/prefs.xml\"....etc.
same thing for the address.xml and pounces.xml.
The file and dir permissions are all set. I have created empty prefs, address, and pounces files and the above message is replaced with a message saying that it cannot parse the files.
What are these files and do I need them, or is this even my problem?
