Does anyone know if the sound that is heard when the screen is tapped is stored somewhere in the file system? I have looked for WAV files, etc., but I can\'t find that sound. I\'ve also checked in places like qpe.conf but can\'t find a setting for this.
I\'m about to give my 5500 to my wife (since I now have a c860) and she really likes the screen tap sound on the c860. It\'s only a small thing, really, but I\'d like to surprise her by installing the same sound on the 5500.
Thanks!

The 5500 doesn\'t have real sound hardware attached to the external speaker, which is really just for alarm beeps. I\'m not saying it couldn\'t be done (not that I know how), but the tap sound would be limited by what that speaker can do.

BlackCardinal: hmm... that\'s true. I had forgotten that. I guess the 5500 is just using some buzzer thing.
maslovsky: That looks interesting, thanks. I\'ll have to check it out.

It\'s all a driver thing. The buzzer can be used as a DSP device as OZ 3.2 shows. Quality is another thing though

What about us poor 5600 owners? buzconfig doesn\'t work on the 5600 and I\'m getting real tired of that \'ping\'... Anyone know if there\'s a way to change it on the 5600?
