under Cacko 1.20 ROM.
The problem happened to be very easy to fix, though it took me the whole day to figure it out .
Execute these commands from console:
su
cd /home
chmod a+w tmp
-
THATS IT??
Well, blow me down with a feather!
CACKO RULEZ!!!

You also mentioned problem with MMC card - what kind of problem?
-
Awesome! Thanks for the fix!
-
Shouldn\'t that be:
# chmod 1777 /home/tmp
So that the sticky bit is set? So, users that write data to that directory own their files.
-
how many users do you have on your Z? :-)
I agree with the theory behind it, though.

Every now and then, seemingly without any pattern, my storage cards were being remounted RO. It happened once with my CF card, that could be a one-off, but it happened repeatedly with my MMC card, usually when installing apps.
I even rewrote my /etc/fstab to make it always read-write, made no difference.
To eliminate the chance of it being a hardware fault, I have returned it, I am now waiting for them to post a new one to me.
When it arrives I will test it again and reply to this thread.

OK, let me know how the new card works, as I did not have any issues with my SD and CF cards...
