The next upcomming pdaXrom will take a whole new aproach to the pda idea - it features the best of all computer worlds packed into one small machine. We have setup a \"emulation\" enviroment that lets you run Windows and Linux software at the same time in real time. That way you can run Internet Explorer, Office suite and more.
We will keep posting updates when the we have more news, if you would like more info please visit http://pdaxrom.org/ (http://pdaxrom.org/).

April Fool\'s Day? Right!
-
It\'s a nasty april fools joke if it is.
-
That would be enough to make me abaondon my Z for a Pocket PC
-
what about SL-6000 Support?
-
does it make my morning java as well?
-
you can do both of those now....
I think the only modification would be instead of
\"frames per second\" it would be \"seconds per frame\"

For quake 3, the graphics board minimum is 4 Mo, and graphics board of the zaurus is of 1 Mo ........so impossible  !!!!!
-
I also thought they were planning a hardware mod to swap the current puny ATi acceleration hardware for a proper ATi Radeon 9800 board, oh and add a fuel cell to allow it to run for more than 5 minutes.

ya, a fuel cell... just what we need.. :-) for wifi.
plugging in a wifi to the zaurus makes the battery meter work like a car\'s RPM gauge!

Ehh... I\'t so charming to be charmed on... but not fooled
-
i believe that IE can be run on the Zaurus - something like:
qemu-i386 wine \"/mnt/card/winefakedrives/c/Program Files/Internet Explorer/system32/iexplore.exe\"
of course I don\'t think its worth the hassle.

The project was dropped due to lack of interest - we might look at the project next year around 1. april ;-)
(it was a joke)
-
I wish qemu would work on the z ....

Talking about Quake, is there an X11 version of Quake (or even Quake 2) about?
