Title: Rest mass
Post by: MeaninglessNick on April 06, 2004, 08:51:19 am
The only data I could come up with (web mag reviews) the
SLC 860 is 8.8 oz-- 9.5oz while the SL-6000 (according to pcconnection) is 7.1 oz.

This does not seem right to me. Can anyone confirm the
actual values?  Preferably in metric :-)

If you go to google.com, and type in the search window \"7.1 oz in g\", it does the conversion for you.

Err, great. But does it really weigh 2.5 ounces less than the C860?

MeaninglessNick,

In case you are still looking for an answer, the SL-6000 Start-up Guide states the following:

SL-6000L
Excluding the display protection cover: Approx 262g (9.3 oz)
Including the display protection cover: Approx 284g (10 oz)

I still don\'t have one, so I couldn\'t verify the claim with a precision scale...

Definitely not lighter than the C-860.
