Hi there!
I\'m running the english modified SharpRom by sash after trying the pdaXrom. Now I\'d like to flash the original japanese ROM without a NAND-Restore. Is it possible to get a ROM with an initrd.bin, tools.tar and updater.sh? How is the sashrom made?
Were do I get the japanese Rom-Sources and how do I make a Rom from it? Are there HowTos?
thanks, jabbath

If you have a C750, C760 or C860 there are no original Sharp roms available that I have been able to find.
As far as I can tell your only option is the NAND restore, although you could try an early Sash/Cacko rom that doesn\'t have the Japanese stuff removed from the read-only filesystem, flash that, then erase the flash to return back to original Japanese.
If you find one please let me know - that way I can stop playing in the Service Menus

I\'m going to order a SL-C860 in the next few days. I\'ll be putting OZ on it I should imagine.
I will back up my original Japanese ROM when it arrives, would you like a copy?
I have no previous Zaurus experience, so if my intentions are not possible please let me know.
Cheers,
Tux

Thanks for the repl/y/ies edit
Are there HowTos, so that I could make a japanese ROM by myself?
edit:
@TuxInvader:
Yes, your intentions are not possible
If you make a backup, it just backs up everything except the data from the ROM :-/
The other possibility would be to make a NAND-Backup, but that\'s not what I want, \'cause I don\'t want to play with the service-menu.
So, again :
Is it possible to roll up a japanese ROM like the original sharpROM??
Are there HowTos??
thanks a lot, jabbath
