Title: SD to CF Adaptor for the Zaurus 5500?

Hello I have a Zaurus SL-5500. I just purchased a Aiptek DV4500 digital camera. The camera uses SD cards. Does anyone know of an CF Adaptor for an SD Card so I can use so that I can transfer files between the Zaurus and the Camera? Any help would be appreciated. I tried searching but could not find anything.

The 5500 has a slot for both types of cards. no need for an adaptor

I currently have an SD Card in my Zaurus and would like to transfer the SD card data from the digital camera to the SD card on the Zaurus. The pictures would be fairly large so I don\'t want to transfer it to the Z\'s internal memory

Genki...

Two ways:
1  transfer to your CF card, replace camera SD with Z SD, then move from CF to SD (but why not keep them on the CF?)
2  purchase an SD reader, plug into your PC, transfer to PC, take out camera\'s SD and replace with Z SD, transfer pics from PC to SD and then return the SD to Z

If you\'re using Windows, Option 2 will only work if your Z SD is FAT format.

Best bet is to leave them on the CF card (as Option 1 above)

PSI has one http://www.psism.com/adapter.htm#cfadapter (http://www.psism.com/adapter.htm#cfadapter) , but I don\'t know if it works with the Zaurus. I can\'t see why there would be a problem. PNY also makes one, but I can\'t find it.

Guys, I know you\'re tryin to be helpful, but it sounds like Genki619 has made up his mind one what he wants... and wants to know if there are any adapters that work with the Z. Are there?

Sorry for the cofusion But I don\'t have a CF card. I Just wanted the ability to transfer images from my Camera\'s SD Card to My Z\'s SD Card directly. Just in case I\'m on the road and I bring My Z and digital camera. If I\'m running out of space on my digital camera I want to transfer the files to my Zs SD Card. I just thought if they had and CF adapter for an SD card I could transfer the Images using the Camera\'s SD card in the adaptor to my SD card on my Z. Sorry again for the confusion. I just need to know if its possible and what brands for SD to CF adaptors from compatible with the Z.

Thanks, I searched through google and found a number of items. I just wanted to make sure if it will work in my Z. I really don\'t want to buy anything and recieve it only to find out its not working. I was wondering if anyone has one and it works with their Z? Thanks for all the responces.

Genki619, I\'ve done something **similar**, I have a digital camcorder that records on Smartmedia, and bought a Pretec adaptor to convert Smartmedia to CF card for my Z, but it did NOT work.

Then again, I could have just bought a dud.

I have the imation FlashGO! reader.  It reads CF and has adaptors for SD/MMC, Memory Stick, and Multimedia cards.  Unfortunately, THE INCLUDED ADAPTORS DO NOT WORK WITH THE Z!  Sorry I wasn\'t more help, but at least you won\'t get this one and be disappointed.  It is model # IMN-USB-FG1.

I have the  Mittoni (http://www.mittoni.com/securedigital/adapter2.html).
It works flawlessly
