I am new to the Zaurus world so forgive me if this has been asked and answered but I couldn\'t find an answer when I searched high and low.
I just upgraded from OZ 3.2 to OZ 3.3.5 and everything so far is working well. The only problem I am having is that the battery status doesn\'t work as well as it did in 3.2. In fact it doesn\'t seem to drop below 100%. I thought I read somewhere that I had to install opie-batterapplet from 3.2 but for the life of me I can\'t find that post again anywhere.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a feeling that 3.3.5 left out the improved battery status patch in the kernel.
A search of this forum, or perhaps even the README in the appropriate directory on openzaurus.org should tell you.

Thanks lardman (Simon) for the reply. It was in the readme that mentioned the battery monitor was not working properly. I did search the web and found a german site that had a re-complied kernel for 3.3.5 with the battery fix patch applied. I will test it and let you know how it works out.
Thanks again!!

Could I bother you to also tell me how you do that?

I just started playing with the patched kernel but the battery app seems to work correctly now.
I downloaded the kernel from http://www.ubahnstation.net/download/download-oz.html (http://www.ubahnstation.net/download/download-oz.html) .
Installing the kernel is as simple as flashing your rom but only put the zImage file on your CF card. Documentation for flashing your Zaurus is available in the FAQ section of this site.
Cheers!

Where is the actuall kernel patch located? I\'ve got a few other tweaks in my kernel, so I don\'t want to put in a pre-compiled one.
Thanks.
