It\'s funny yuo should mention this I was wondering whether I could put some form of linux on My windows CE Toshiba E740!

Iwould suspected windows CE would crap itself if you put it on a sharp - certainly wouldn\'t support the lovely screen - the new version of of the Tosh has a 640x480 screen (same as 860) but very little software for CE suppotrs and it goes into an emulation mode which aparently is crap....

No one has ever done it (that I know of), but it\'s possible.  You need a copy of Microsoft Windows CE Platform Builder (the evaluation version is available free/cheap from Microsoft), technical know-how, and time.  An engineer with the right embedded platforms experience could probably do the port in 3-6 weeks.
