Title: Testers wanted (with 5500/5000D)
Post by: lardman on April 17, 2004, 12:31:05 pm
I have a 5500, but no storage card at the mo, so I can\'t really do this test myself.

Anyway I used the pdaXrom with the -mcpu switch so hopefully it has generated ARM4 (5500/5000D code).

The file to try is this one:

http://sgp.zaurii.net/binaries/R-1.8.1_arm...rm4_libc2.2.ipk (http://sgp.zaurii.net/binaries/R-1.8.1_arm4_libc2.2.ipk)

after installing it try running \'R\'. If there\'s an instruction set problem then it will fall over with a SIGILL error. If something else happens then I\'ve probably messed up somewhere else. In either case I\'d like to hear about it.

Thanks,

Simon

No need to do this now.

It works fine.

I\'ve changed my mind, there may be a problem with libc.

Could anyone with a 5500/5000D download this program (12KB) and see whether it runs (I don\'t know whether it will myself):

http://sgp.zaurii.net/whetstone_arm4.out (http://sgp.zaurii.net/whetstone_arm4.out)

Cheers,

Si
