Incredible... 718% of the planned goal raised in the first day of the campaign! This is a proof that they are filling a void in the market and that they managed to build a good reputation and buyer\'s confidence. Ok, maybe they could have avoided to post some of those PR photos of the unit

yup, I was about to post that, I got the email from GPD having had the Pocket in my favourites list, and followed the link to the Win 2 page and pasted the link here. Then I read more and was stunned to see how fast they massively exceeded their targets.
So while manufacturers have been chasing ever thinner laptops with ever crappier keyboards etc, they\'ve completely ignored the UMPC category and GPD resurrected it practically single-handedly closely followed by Planet with the Gemini.

I\'m surprised Chippy at UMPCPortal ( http://www.umpcportal.com/ (http://www.umpcportal.com/) ) hasn\'t already posted this. I sent him a link. I remember when UMPCs and handhelds were all the rage, I would check his site, and also Pocketables (still running but not what it used to be) a few times a day.
