What are the listed apps “advertised” in the “Planet App Bar” that must be downloaded and installed?

I thjink that Planet has said someplace, either Update 49 or an interview somewhere, that the apps need to be d/led from Google Play Store. (And may that be the last time I'm ever called upon to write those three words!)
