In Oz, we are used to using geo unblockers to buy stuff from overseas. Our prime minister even recommended it! When the time comes, you could give one a go, or contact Jolla - I'm sure they would sell you something
From what I have heard, sailfish 3 wont be available till the 3rd quarter - maybe the community edition will be here quicker. I have also been doing some research - check out the open repos:
https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse-sailfishos (https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse-sailfishos)
It is not an official store, but has a lot of good stuff. The community edition doesn't have Android support I believe - which is useful only for that one app that is only available on android (eg. banking). When/if it is released, I will probably just ship to the community edition and wait for 3.0
Android is just too clunky for me - it does work, but you need to be rooted to have any chance of doing what you want

Warehouse is no longer working with SFOS 2.1.4.14.
Storeman is now the new OpenRepo client.

Soooo... It's been more than a year...
Looking on the Sailfish pages, it says it's still available only in the EU,
Switzerland and Norway...
https://shop.jolla.com/ (https://shop.jolla.com/)
Still locked out from the US? Anyone know, tried or found anything new?
Thanks,
PJS

Well, I'm enjoying Sailfish and I live in the UK. Much to my chagrin, we are being removed from the EU in January. I fully intend to keep using Sailfish, and I would suggest you use a VPN (I think Opera or Vivaldi may even include one in the browser) and give it a try. You might like it. I'm pretty sure that if it isn't 'formally' available in the US it will be something to do with avoidance of legal risk owing to differences in NA intellectual property laws or whatever rather than anything specifically against you. I note that US websites are continually trying to lock us out for similar concerns (un-copyrighted books on Google books is a classic one).
