Title: Telnet to Zaurus?
Post by: Ansel_Tk1 on April 20, 2004, 07:16:41 pm
Is there a way to telnet to my c860? I\'d like to be able to type in terminal commands from my windows machine to configure the Z rather than use the tiny little screen and keyboard.

Thanks!

Edit /etc/inetd.conf
the telnetd service is commented out.
Remove the # from one of the 2 lines, and restart inetd.

This works on my 5500.

When I try to connect with PUTTY, it starts and then boots me right out? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks! By removing the comment from the Telnet line I can at least connect, but it asks me for a login and password - something I have never set up so I don\'t know what it is looking for!
