Title: Where to get Sharp Qtopia Desktop 1.5.4?

If you mean the source code, then from nowhere, because it is closed source.

Downloaded that version http://www.myzaurus.com/lic5500v31u.asp (http://www.myzaurus.com/lic5500v31u.asp).... its for the 5600 and the Sharp Qtopia Desktop is version 1.5.5.... so again it didn\'t work... can ping each way, but no sync connectivity....
PS not after the source, just need the windows 1.5.4 binary....

sorry, tried that aswell... same thing, its for the 5600.... any chance of finding your install files for 1.5.4 and posting them somewhere?

Those links are for the 5500. Sharp Qtopia 1.5.4 is on the Sharp Zaurus. If you are looking for the Qtopia Desktop, it is in that link. If you are looking for the Sharp rom, it is in that link.

Thanks for the input, but Im after Sharp Qtopia Desktop 1.5.4.... the links posted above have the 5500 rom v3 upgrade and the qtopia desktop software in them, but it is version 1.5.5 and does not work with tkcROM 2.0alpha3.

Are you sure you haven\'t got a version of the 5600 Qtopia Desktop that will not uninstall or something like that? Those links definitely are for the 5500.

got it worked out.....
Qtopia desktop 1.5.5 does sync..

put the Z on the network (wireless) as 10.0.0.5.....
in the pc-link use tcp/ip, put another host in there 10.0.0.14...

used the magic tool netcat
nc -d -L -p 4243 10.0.0.5 4244 -vv -n -d

(basically says, any connections to 4243 forward to 10.0.0.5 4244 (zaurus)
on the pc (10.0.0.1) put in to sync with 10.0.0.1

On the pc, I press Sync.... straight away I hit \"start sync\" on the zaurus... it loads up the syncing software to try to connect to another host.... but the pc connects and sync away...

its a funny hack... but it works!
