Hi,
I've installed samba and tried to access a shared folder in windows with PCMANFM file manager without success.
I will try later at night with smbclient in a terminal shell.
But I'd really appreciate if someone could help.
I don't want to install gvfs ( gnome virtual file system ) because I had problems with android not starting in the past : See below. But maybe the problem wasn't gvfs. But in doubt I will avoid it. ( Also thunar file manager that also uses gvfs ).
Thank you.

Are you using Win10? If so, I find it can be picky about shared directories (not like the glad hand of XP), though I have used PCMANFM with Lubuntu, even as old as 10.04, and swapped files with Win8.1.
If you haven't already tried it, perhaps disable all passwords of Win public folders, Win firewalls, etc to see if it's a Win issue.
Also, have you tried making a Public folder in Debian to see if Win10 can find it?

Problem is not win 10, cause I am able to connect via samba from my linux machine and copy shared files in windows.
I've installed dolphin in gemini.
Everything is fine now !

Great. I hadn't realized that Dolphin did file/samba stuff.
I love the old PCMANFM versions when you could go root just from the drop-down menu.
