Title: Root Wi-Fi-only model?

Is it possible to root the Wi-Fi model with the material that has been released so far? There is still no Wi-Fi model firmware on http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Gemini_Firmware (http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Gemini_Firmware) but is it safe to use a boot.img from a different model firmware?
