I don't have an x27, so I can't tell if this works, however on the sailfish community forum, someone mentioned that you need to select the sim in android before booting sailfish. I don't have the link, but it if you search for gemini there aren't many topics. That could explain why I have no problems with my x25 install, and (many) others are having issues with (I am guessing) x27.
Show of hands: chip type, sailfish version, problems with sailfish

vader: x25, 2.1.4.14 (PC version), no issues with installation, booting or connectivity
