Reading through the User Guide, it struck me that setting Power Off for the nightime hours might save a bit of battery, so I found the relevant Setting and tried to adjust it to my liking.
However, in whatever way I try to input a new value, when I go back up to the "Schedule power on & off" screen the times are back to their original "7:00 AM" and "8:30 AM" somewhat useless settings!
Do others see this, or am I being stupid somehow?

I haven't tried it, as I like to be available, and connected, all the time. But it seems you have two "buttons" in the upper right corner of the screen when setting the time for "On" and "Off". I don't know what the text says in English (but it was kind of "vague" in Norwegian, so it might be for other languages as well), but you need to confirm the time by clicking the text/button to the right. The other text/button reverts back to the last setting (which should have had a text like "cancel" or something similar, but didn't, at least in Norwegian).
If you HAVE set the time with the rightmost button/text (which should have had a text like "Confirm", but says "Finished" in Norwegian), I don't know what the problem might be. I haven't tried that it actually powers on/off, but it took the setting for me.

Mine is set off from 1 am to 8 am everyday. If you set the time by tapping on it you get a clock. Set your time and tap "Done" First time is the switch on time and the second is switch off.
It does power the phone on in the morning, but you have to unlock your simcard before the screen boots.

Aahh, thanks! I was being stupid! My eyes never strayed to that top right corner, and I never noticed those buttons!! (FTR they are "REVERT" and "DONE" in English) I was just tapping the "OK" on the clock, and then the day checkboxes.
All set now. We'll see if my battery lasts any longer...
