Title: Pinout of the camera connector
Post by: mithrandir on January 30, 2019, 04:01:08 pm
Does anybody know the pinout and type of the camera connector? Just thinking about connecting a NFC reader/writer to it instead of the outer camera... Anyways, the metal cover might prevent this. Still, this might be interesting for other upgrades.

Hmmm, aren't mobile cameras normally on a direct LVDS interface to the SOC? It isn't an I2C or USB normally, so I don't know if you could repurpose it.I'd love to be wrong.

No idea of the pinout and I'm assuming that there are plenty of non i2c wires in that connector for the video data, but the evidence would seem to indicate there are a bunch of camera related bits on the i2c bus. So I figure it should be possible to attach any other i2c devices we want, so long as we avoid clashing with IDs in use:
