I've decided to try also Xfce window manager. I've also installed power manager, but disabled it and also disabled xss-lock because there are incompatibility issues. Fortunately Xfce monitors the battery with the same icon present in lxqt. I've installed alsa-utils and alsa-tools , remapped some keys to enable audio mixer. For the brightness I've used the script from lxqt, but it only works after I login first in lxqt. Phone ( if xss-lock is enabled ) rings, but no way to work with the silver side button to accept calls. In kde everything works fine. But libreoffice works like a charm without the problems mentioned in lxqt and KDE : Libreoffice is too slow in lxqt and KDE. ( I suppose XFCE doesn't have 3d acceleration ).
So, is there a way to disable hardware acceleration in lxqt and Kde ?
Also in XFCE there is no pop-up message to answer calls in xfce when the phone rings . Is there solution for this ?
Thank you all.

Interesting. I have the same problem with regard to lid actions when I use the stumpwm window manager. These work (screen turns off/on with lid closed/open) if I have first logged in to lxqt before logging in again with stumpwm. They do not work if I haven't logged into lxqt.
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with your question about hardware acceleration.

Ok.
Thank you again.

If you run lxqt-globalkeys on Xfce startup, all of the configured options will work.

Hi, thank you so much.
This really works for almost all shortcuts. Unfortunately for brightness and audio mixer didn't work.
Audio mixer has a simple solution installing alsa-utils and alsa-tools and setting a shortcut for amixer.
Brightness also works with this tip if I login first in lxqt or KDE .
For libreoffice in lxqt or kde in tools, options , view, I've disabled hardware acceleration. Worked for me.

I don't seem to have lxqt-globalkeys. There is /usr/bin/lxqt-globalkeysd (note d at end). Is this what you mean? If so, this has no effect for me with respect to lid actions.

Yes, I've used this.
Thanks.

Finally I found an script that I've made some modifications to control brightness under XFCE. ( also add a shortcut to keyboard to brightness up and down ) Thanks to Christopher Peterson. ( link below ).
https://chrispeterson.info/linux-acpi-brigh...control-script/ (https://chrispeterson.info/linux-acpi-brightness-control-script/)
Basically my modifications to reflect /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight.

Hi, I was on LQXT but with xfwm4 window manager.
Under Kwin, shortcut for brightness works.
But under xfwm4 does not working.
Could you explain and paste how do you control brightness with your script under xcfe ?
