Title: Spreadsheet app on Android?
Post by: PJS on July 28, 2019, 07:26:23 pm
Hi Guys,

Back in the old days, Psion had a great spreadsheet app
that I used to use all the time.  I was wondering what the
options are running on droid.

Yes, of course, lots of folks seem to use the online
goggles docs and M$ options; but I'd rather use something
light, fast and with good file interchange that actually
runs on my machine.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?

TIA

I actually use two office suites (and not separate text and spreadsheet, or presentation, apps): AndrOpen Office and OfficeSuite.

Think there are a few threads about office suites and office programs here already that discusses the pros and cons of quite a few solutions.

I mainly use OfficeSuite, but sometimes AndrOpen Office has better file-support (correct displaying of files...). They both support quite a few keyboard-shotcuts, but I prefer the "layout" i OfficeSuite (of the two). AndrOpen Office even has a drop-down menu, but I haven't found a way to display it with "Alt"-key (actually it seems like none of the "Alt+key"-shortcuts work...). The main reason why I ended up with OfficeSuite is that it was more or less the only option with an ad-free version that wasn't a subscription...

I also have Office Suite, and for two main reasons:
1. there is no stupid subscription fee
2. has a desktop-like menu system

What I do not like with OfficeSuite is that it crashes sometimes with big sheets.

Hey, I'm looking for one now. Someone recommended googles docs to me, but I don't know if it is that convenient to use. Can someone give an opinion? Has anyone used google docs?
