Title: Need help to get CF WIFI card work
Post by: cain2pang on September 22, 2019, 12:12:05 am
I got a CF WIFI card DLink 660W, but I can make it work.
Can anybody help me?

The router is netgear r7000, and the networkd is 2.4GHZ b/g/n with WPA2-PSK[AES]

First, I use: wpa_supplicant -B -i wlan0 -D wext -d -c /etc/wap_supplicant/wlan0.conf
It shows:
nl80211: Driver does not support authentication/association or connect commands
nl80211: deinit ifname=wlan0 disabled_11b_rates=0
waln0: Failed to initialize driver interface

Then I try: wpa_supplicant -B -i wlan0 -D wext -d -c /etc/wap_supplicant/wlan0.conf
the wap-supplicant seems work fine, but the network is not connected.

This is the correct link, I'll now correct the link above too:

https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=34552.msg283117#msg283117

Many links from the old forum must still be fixed, this is on my to-do list.

Where did you find this link? The link you pasted misses the middle part, containing the number of the thread.

I found it in the last post of the first fixed Link (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=34552.0 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=34552.0)).

EDIT:
I'm a idiot, this ist the correct one: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=34552&view=findpost&p=283117 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=34552&view=findpost&p=283117)

Greetings
Rene

Fixed (and also fixed my fixed links, they now link to the specific post and not to the whole thread - ouch): https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=34552.msg283117#msg283117

Note that in the old links, the indexes of the threads and the posts are always the same, what changes is only the syntax of the URL, so it can be easily reconstructed.
