Title: Bug when using second battery in jacket
Post by: boosalis on April 24, 2004, 04:44:50 pm
I have experienced the followng bug with the 6000.  When the battery in the second jacket is drained, the unit will turn off when the Sprint card is in use, despite the primary battery being fully charged.

Has anyone seen bugs like this with the secondary battery

I would email SHARP and Sprint Technical Support about this.  This would be an enterprise issue if I ever saw one.  They should move rather quickly to solve it.

I think you'll find this depends on which CF slot you are using. I know that the sleeve's CF slot is powered by the sleeve's battery. I haven't experimented with the real life implications of this, but theoretically it means that the device in the second CF slot would stop working when the second battery is drained. For something like a modem/networking device I can see how this might crash the system.

Try it in the primary CF slot and see if you have the same problem.
