If Planet is checking in now and then, I was wondering how difficult it is to set the keyboard backlighting to activate itself when a key is touched, rather than a simple on-off.
The lighting itself is fantastic, and I very much appreciate the different levels of said lighting.
I have a MS Surface Pro6 and its keyboard backlighting is activated by a key press and I'm curious to see if that convenience/battery-saving can easily be conveyed to the Cosmo.

Most likely as my BB KEY2 with Android 8 also supports activating the keyboard backlighting with the press of a key. So if they can do it, so can Planet, as it's the same OS support.

Yes, now that I think about it, my Blackberry Priv lit up the keyboard with a key press. And that was only Android Marshmallow.

I posted a request in their bug reporting form that I hope PC follows...
Why not have an option to have the keyboard backlighting automagically
turn on/off on the basis of ambient light?
As it is, it's a good challenge to deal with the Cosmo, trying to do the
two-handed key combo to turn on the keyboard backlight when you step outside
at night.
:/
We'll see.
Thx

Yes, this is a badly needed feature, though would need an interesting curve. At daylight light levels you want the keyboard backlight off. At dim room light levels you want the keyboard backlight full on. In a full dark room, you want the keyboard backlight dim.
