Title: Cosmo as bluetooth keyboard
Post by: mmbika on January 03, 2020, 10:38:01 pm
I am wondering if this can be possibe. At times while i am using external display with my laptop lid closed and if I need to type something minorm it becomes very annoying to open the lid for just few words, such as during browsing. However, Cosmo still sits comfortably on the same table and is perfect for small type/talk.

If I could use Cosmo as a Bluetooth keyboard for my laptop with lid closed and connected to external display, it will surely be an asset giving some retutn on money spent until, offcourse unless we can run full desktop OS on it.

Any suggestions?

If you can't find a way to do this with Bluetooth, you can do it with VNC.

I haven't received my Cosmo yet – but on the Gemini PDA I have been using the app Serverless Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse to (ab)use the Gemini as a physical keybaord for my Android tablet at times. Not sure, whether your PC with closed lid would auto-connect to the Cosmo as soon as the app is started or whether you'd need to first confirm connecting to the fake BT-keyboard each time. The latter would of course make the entire excercise rather useless...
Might be worth checking out, nevertheless. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?....appground.blek (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appground.blek)
