Hi. I've installed twrp using the image provided by planet here ( http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/co...taller-beta.zip (http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/cosmo-customos-installer-beta.zip) ) in EMPTY_RECOVERY_BOOT_2 partition ( http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/C...id_installation (http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Cosmo_Linux_Beta#Rooted_Android_installation) ).
But nothing happens when I boot to twrp.
I've also installed Debian in EMPTY_RECOVERY_BOOT_3 partition and debian boots fine.
What is the problem with twrp ?
I've also installed again twrp and the problem persists.
Thank you

I have also not been able to get twrp to boot. I was planning on making a full backup before modifying stuff.

OK. Thank you for the information.

Hmm, for me it is working... Despite having problems unlocking the user partition (I didn't activated the encryption...)

Did you install twrp from the zip file ( link above ) ?
Thanks

Hi,
I already asked the question in this topic: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36118 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36118)
How did you flash TWRP?

Yep, I used the one at http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/co...taller-beta.zip (http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/cosmo-customos-installer-beta.zip) . Note that it shows the TWRP logo for 1-2 minutes before giving up on decrypt the user partition. And I repartitioned the system before (60/60).

I did the same, but unfortunately mine didn“t boot on twrp. My first partition is a rooted android ( rooted using fastboot and an image provided in this forum, not the rooted image from this zip file ).

SOLVED : I've used this image provided by ninji ( https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35988 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35988) ). Only renamed the file to twrp.img and overwrite the same file in cosmo-customos-installer-beta. Reinstalled and it worked.

Sorry that I have to ask again:
Did you flashed the TWRP.img using flashtool? I want to backup my Android non-rootet installation before repartitioning the Cosmo.
Which version did actually working and boot up properly, the oesf or the planet c. one?
Thanks!!

I've partioned first. Then I've rooted my android using fastboot ( from an image provided in this forum ) . So, I've installed twrp and debian as mentioned above using the links I've already posted.
Unfortunately when partioning , all data from android are lost. ( You have to reinstall all the apps ). But you can see this topic: Partitioning the Cosmo for multi-boot without losing your Android data ( https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36043 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36043) ) .
Do this at your own risk.
The version of twrp I am using is in this link ( https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35988 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35988) ).
Good Luck !

Hi @SwordfishII and @klampfenfreak did either of you get your TWRP install to work in the end? Like you both I couldn't get it to work and still don't know why as I have stock install and no apps or anything else weird installed yet as the device is only 4 days old. All I want is to install TWRP to back up my device in its stock default install state before major playing.
Unlike @cam1965 I'm not keen to use the custom image provided by Ninji - would rather keep everything Planet Computers stock so they are responsible for fixing in the event of an issue. I used the image from http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/co...s-installer.zip (http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/cosmo-customos-installer.zip)
Keen to understand why following the PC process exactly doesn't give me a result, like you I partitioned correctly via the recovery menu and the boot menu happily shows me TWRP as an option but on selection all that happens is it reboots back to the boot menu (with default option selected) which then will load stock standard PC version of Android. Selecting TWRP only repeats the reboot and loop back to the boot menu experience.
There seems no way to actually verify I installed a good TWRP image nor boot it.
I can't help but wonder if I am missing some more steps from my process:- Upgrade to v22
- Partition
- TWRP installation
- Something else?????
