Title: Getting my Cosmo soon - Suggestions for a newcomer?

Since i backed the campaign back in November, i have lost track on all the different things you need to know around this device (like turn on airplane mode before CoDI update etc.)

So i wanted to reach out to the people who have been using this device for some time now, what should i beaware of and what do i need to know before i get to use it?

Should i update to V22 right away?

Any manual / guidebook or anything like that?

Does Linux even work on it and what about dual booting between android and Linux?

Tips & Tricks?

- Update to V22 (and CODI to 1.1.1.14)
- Unlock bootloader (doing that will wipe data)
- Root the phone. I've not even tried Planet's own method, magicked boot images from these forums (or rolled by yourself) work fine. I would actually *prefer* to have a locked bootloader and signed images, but since the results have been less than promising at least based on the forums, it's just better to roll your own for now.
- Repartition device if you want to run Linux "natively" with dual-boot. Personally I rather use the approach of running Devuan from memory card, as outlined here - That way you get to use Android kernel with GNU userland without any hardware hassles: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36096 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36096)

Thanks for the suggestions! Devuan sounds like its the more stable approuch to get Linux abilities on the device, and i think i will go with that!

Regarding rooting.. I've never really needed it on my other Android devices, so do you still think i would need it here ?
