Title: CosmoCtl - howto set it up?
Post by: LinuxGuy on August 03, 2020, 07:14:20 am
Hi

I was made aware of the cosmoctl app https://apktada.com/app/com.jp.ssipa.cosmoctl
I installed it (rooted android) but app seemsnot to get root - not working. I am specially interested in the keyboard backlight settings.

Any ideas?

Maybe this version might work? In the readme it mention a feature that requires a rooted Android, so it has been at least tested on a rooted install.

AutoActivation of keyboard backlight. Nothing changed.

If it doesn't work at all.
Is it possible to change it by Fn+Shift+B, N?
Have you changed your keymap?
CosmoCtl emulates the same key event.

If sometimes it works.
Cosmo's illuminance sensor goes to 0 illuminance at a dimly lit level.
Key light comes on at a dimly lit level.
The Cosmo's illuminance sensor is located on the back.
It may not match the brightness you feel.

Other.
Please describe the content of the XML.

Hi

it works - I Think root permissions were the issue!
Thanks for your advice!
