Hi All,
Just received my new Cosmo and installed Gemian yesterday. I first updated Codi to V1.1.1.15 within Android (HDMI output works in Android). But I really don't want to use android at all, I bought this to run Debian and use with an external display.
I purchased the official Planet Computers USB3 to HDMI converter, but the output to my second screen does not work on the official v3 Gemian distro.
Any idea what the issue could be?
Thanks in advance,
Iain

Hmm. Someone may correct me, but last I heard the HDMI out only works under Android...

Does xrandr list your external screen?

I've got the screen plugged in and no change to xrandr output:
cosmo@cosmopda:~$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 2160 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767
hwcomposer connected primary 2160x1080+0+0 0mm x 0mm
2160x1080 59.97*
Does this mean the driver isn't loaded?
I'm super super keen to get this working - it's really the main feature of this device I need. Anyone got any suggestions?
I can confirm it works when I boot into Android ( I've no interest in using that OS, it's not fully featured enough for my needs), but a driver clearly exists for Android and hopefully can be ported?

A similar problem was discussed here for a similar device: https://github.com/stockmind/gpd-pocket-ubuntu-respin/issues/98
It seems that a linux kernel >= 4.19 or even >= 5 is needed. So, the kernel 4.4 in Gemian is too old.
