Title: Sd card error
Post by: usagi87 on March 01, 2021, 01:45:02 pm
Hey, I'm having trouble to get cosmo to regonize an sd card. Tried five different card but only one  is regonized but it says its corrupted asks to format it but when it doens the bar shows 20% an then turns off and the card it not regonized. My android phone regonizes all the cards.

Anyone with the same problem or solutions?

Hi,

Unfortunately not offering help, but I have the same issue. I have just purchased a Cosmo from eBay, everything is fine except won't recognise an SD card. I've tried two, formatted as both FAT32 and exFAT with no luck on either. SIM is recognised but doesn't even register the card is installed.

I had the same issue when using my 200GB Sandisk microSD card. Managed to format it with exFAT filesystem and it works great now.

Used a windows machine to make it work. The problem was the uSD card had two partitions on it after the formatting. Use the Disk Management tool to ensure the uSD card has only one basic partition on it and format that. It should now be recognized in the phone.

Was your cosmo able to detect the sd card before you formated to exfat? Did you use windows to format it?

The Cosmo did not recognize the card (in stock Android) until I fixed it on the windows computer as described in my post above.

I ended up sending mine back to Planet who repaired it. I had a problem with the SD card slot (they said it had been dropped). I've received it back and everything now works. Very happy with the device now.

I am not sure that this helps, but a 128 GB card did not work for installing Gemian, while 64 GB and 32 GB cards worked fine.
