Nothing happens, as in "the setting doesn't take", or "I don't get mobile data connection"?? If it is the former, I REALLY don't know how to help. But if it is the latter, I think my Cosmo also has suffered from something similar.
In my case the settings for the access-point got "corrupted" somehow, and I needed to go in and manually change it "back" to the correct settings. As my mobile-provider mostly (and almost exclusively...) want to configure that automatically, it is difficult to find the correct settings to fill in yourself. (And it might be possible to get it set up with the link/SMS they want you to set it up with too...)
(Actually, I'm not sure that the settings got "corrupted" on my Cosmo, I'm not sure it has happened more than once for my Cosmo, and the last time, and possibly only time, it happened, it probably had to do with the name-change of my provider, and they then, naturally, changed the name of, and some of the settings for, the access-point, to reflect the name-change. So I only had OUTDATED settings, probably not corrupted...)
But could be a good place to start looking anyway...
(You also need to have the right/correct sim-slot connected to the data-connection...)
Hope this was of some help, otherwise I don't think I can contribute much :'(

Hi gymbo,
Thank you for your help!
Think problem must have been some issue with settings getting changed...
I found a setting that did not seem right. Changed it back to what I thought was correct and Voila! I could turn on mobile data again!
:)

I have the exact same problem
What setting(s) did you change or re-alter, please?

Sorry, Greg, that was almost 2 years ago.....
I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday....
Wish I had written it down....and posted the info at the time....
Check in the settings app for items related to mobile data.
If I get a chance, I will look....although I don't have Cosmo anymore....have Astro now with newer version of Android.....
Best,
Mark
