Title: Got the firmware dumped. Ready to break the phone!
Post by: Beiriannydd on December 07, 2022, 11:43:22 am
I have managed after some head banging to dump my Astro firmware on my M1 Mac. With a backup in hand I am now ready to start messing with things.
I would probably be fine with a VM running Linux on the device if it ran at full speed. Do I need to unlock it to be able to run a VM?

Please see : https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-linux-on-android/

Take in mind that this will not be like a real linux. And probably you will not be able to install apps like a full native linux . Also maybe you will not access some protected files.

The best solution is to install a native linux ( If Planet Computers provide a way like in Cosmo Communicator and in Gemini ).

Be careful if you will  root your device.

I have not tried this. Only the real linux in my gemini  and Cosmo.
