Yesterday I was coding on the go on my C3200 and I must admit that the screen is almost unreadable in moderate daylight.
I remembered that some of the xScale based PDAs from the era had a similarly sized screens that were transflective, so I thought that maybe they would work with the LCD controller in Zaurus without any modifications? Did anyone maybe succeed in transplating one into the Zaurus?

Dunno, which part?

I've found e.g. Dell Axim x51v which has VGA transflective screen that is also 3.7 inches (http://www.kodeks.hr/Assets/Pdf/axim_x51v.pdf). The hardware spec is very similar to Zaurus, which makes me think/hope screen swap would be easy as they probably use same pinout/cable.

Is there any datasheet of the Zaurus LCD?
Pintout? detailed datasheet?
Otherwise is just speculation.
