Title: What is you favorite MISSING app that could be ported?
Post by: Omicron on April 28, 2004, 01:07:07 pm
I miss the great alarm clock program for the 550, which doesn\'t work right on my C860...and the appt manager is way to quiet to use.

I am think of doing a port to get it working so I was wondering if:

1) SOmeone alreayd know a great way to use the C860 as the  world most expensive alarm clock  ?

2) What program (that have source avail) would you most like to see be ported over to the C860 landscape version?....this includes programs that run in compatibility (zoom) mode, that you would prefer to see ported to be used in landscape (and use the full screen).

I have soime time on my hands, so if I see the same requests I may take it on....provided I have the skill-set.

PS(MODERATOR: Forgive me if this is a repost, but I wanted to see this in the general discussion area as this seems to be the most visited place by newbies (like me) that are trying to configure thier units.  Also, this question really needs to \"Re-ASKED\" from time to time to get the latest wish list as people are always porting new stuff everyday)

http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/downloads/qpeala...k_1.0.9_arm.ipk (http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/downloads/qpealarmclock_1.0.9_arm.ipk) works fine on the 860 - it was recently updated and gives you an alarm applet on the clock/systray... also it lets you use any wav file for an alarm so you can record a really loud one :-)

If someone could get a palm pilot emulator running nicely on an 860 qtopia rom (i use cacko 1.21a) i have tried and tried qcopilot and it doesn\'t work properly, qpose is just too slow.
That is my missing app request - a decent palm emulator for the 860 on qtopia, has anyone had any luck with this..
maybe someone with more skill could recompile qcopilot for the 640 x 480 screen and get it working on the 860?

kopi todo (suspends, repeats, popup dialogue and customizable sounds) works for me and for one shots it has a timer built in.

I\'d like to be able to use TimeSleuth in landscape on my C860!

Also Gutenbrowser.

This seems to have stalled:  http://qttv.sourceforge.net/ (http://qttv.sourceforge.net/)  It was started for the SL-5500.
