Title: Screen Ghosting on 760

I noticed a bit ago that my screen has a very slight vertical ghosting effect.  I\'m thinking about sending my 760 in for repairs but thought I\'d ask if anyone else has had similar problems and if you were able to fix them on your own.

Do you use the original sharp rom?

Mine has it too, there\'s an option to adjust contrast / lcd timing in the service menu but I don\'t recommend you go playing around in there unless you really know what you doing. Just stay away from \"ageing\" and anything with the word NAND or FLASH in it.

To leave the service menu you just remove the power.

If you use Cacko ROMs 1.2x, you can try the following:

echo 75 ] /proc/driver/w100/fastsysclk

What does that do and what other values can we try? Does it have to be done every reboot like echo 1] /proc/tspressure?

This changes refresh rate for the LCD screen. Another value that you can set is 100 (default for Cacko ROMs). You can even set higher values like 125, but only through ioctl() function.


And yes, you\'ll have to make the change after each reboot, so you may want to put it into a script, ex. /etc/rc.d/rc.local or similar

Thanks for the advice guys, I\'ll give some of those a try.

Fox, were you able to fix the ghosting to your satisfaction using the service menus?

I\'ve been using pdaXrom.  I first noticed the problem while flashing between the latest version and the previous version.

Any idea what\'s causing this?
