Title: Problem flashing ROM on 5500
Post by: RedSlug on May 01, 2004, 05:07:50 pm
I\'ve copied the two files from sl5500_cacko_beta-2.4.18.zip onto my Fuji 512MB CF card.  Which does appear to be recognised by my Z.

But when I get to \"hold C&D and press reset\" the two lights come on, but then go off again after 1 second.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Make sure the files are named zImage and initrd.bin and the cf-card is formatted vfat (fat16), file names are case sensitive and must be on root directory of card.

I extracted them directly from the zip file, so the filenames are exactly correct

Ive just done a \"mkfs.vfat -F 16 /dev/hda1\" and tried again and it seems to be doing something now...

I thought I\'d used this card before, but thinkng of it, I think I formatted using my camera last time.  (Strange my camera only read FAT16...)

Thanks.
