Title: NAND restore and non working rom flash
Post by: Anonymous on November 14, 2003, 07:14:57 pm
Hi,

I\'ve just got my Z C760 today and killed it already!
I followed the instructions to update the rom to CACKs rom and it all looked ok but when it rebooted it didn\'t do anything. So, I carried on with the instructions and did the format flash. Still no bootup.

I\'m now trying a NAND restore but after selecting the option from the service menu it just sits there like its waiting for something saying Restore NAND from CF.

Any ideas please?

I\'m using a 512mb CF card

Thanks

There are known problems with some CF cards to flash when the OS is not up. What I suggest is to find a card that will work when flashing a 5500, and then put the nand backup on this one.

I had some problems with different 512 MB CF cards to have them flash a 5500, so I reverted back to an old 128 MB card which works dandy.
