Title: using nand to move between roms
Post by: b2bpro on May 04, 2004, 06:37:19 am
I\'m wondering if a nand restore will undo the root size repartitioning that I did when I tried out pdaxrom.  It seems it should, but I don\'t know where the partition size info is stored.

What I did

1. I\'ve been running tkc for a while
2. I did a nand backup of the tkc install
3. Ran pdaxrom installer which included a root repartition to 50 megs
4. Tried pdaxrom
5. I did a nand restore of my tkc rom over top of the pdaxrom installation

I just want to be sure that the 50 meg repartitioning won\'t affect my tkc install.

I have used NAND backups to restore pdaxrom, sharp-jp and cackoQT installations with no problem.  I\'m assuming a NAND backup is the equivalent of an image of the flash disk partitions and all, as it is always the same size regardless of the ROM installed.
